Business
Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. operates as a diversified midstream and infrastructure company focused on the North American natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil, refined products, and renewable energy value chain. The company provides natural gas processing at facilities including the Brazeau River Complex with 180 mmcf/d throughput capacity and NGL fractionation capability of 10 mbbl/d, the BRC full-service natural gas and NGL processing with gas storage, Ram River Gas Plant for sour natural gas processing with sulfur handling and rail connections, and three ethane extraction plants in central Alberta with combined 200 mmcf/d capacity; it offers NGL infrastructure such as fractionation, terminalling, pipelines, railcars, storage exceeding 1.0 mmbbl, and export terminals; downstream operations encompass the Prince George Refinery, the sole light oil refinery in British Columbia's interior with 12.0 mbbl nameplate capacity refining approximately 85% BC light oil and 15% Boundary Lake feedstock into over 45% diesel and over 40% gasoline yields, along with co-processing for renewables; and it markets crude oil, refined petroleum products including gasoline, low sulphur diesel, heavy fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, ethanol, very low sulfur fuel oil, renewable fuels, and emissions credits, as well as natural gas, condensate, and NGLs to customers across North America. Tidewater serves producers, consumers, and commercial markets primarily in western Canada including Alberta's Montney, Deep Basin, and central regions, as well as British Columbia and the United States. The company maintains approximately 780 mmcf/d processing capacity in the Deep Basin and additional Montney assets with around 180 mmcf/d capacity, complemented by a majority ownership stake in Tidewater Renewables Ltd. for renewable initiatives such as the HDRD Complex. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Tidewater most recently closed the acquisition of the North Segment of Pembina Pipeline Corporation's Western Pipeline System on September 25, 2025, for approximately $1.2 million in cash plus assumed abandonment liabilities of about $30.0 million, enhancing feedstock procurement flexibility and cost efficiencies for the Prince George Refinery through a 25-year interconnection agreement at the Taylor Terminal.
