Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Taipei City, Taiwan (No. 1 Songzhi Rd Fl 26), HannStar Display trades on the Taiwan Stock Exchange under ticker 6116 and produces displays under brands including Hannstar (LCD monitors), Hannspree (monitors, netbooks, laptops, tablets, all-in-one desktops, televisions), Hanns·G (gaming monitors), and I-INC (LCD monitors). In July 2024, HannStar led a collaboration with 12 supply chain partners under Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs "Large Lead Small" project to advance low-carbon transformation, targeting 7,041.8 metric tons of annual CO2e reduction from 2025 via digital sustainability platforms, low-carbon processes, energy-efficient equipment, and supply chain assessments. In 2024, its subsidiary Hannspree launched the HannsNote2 e-reader featuring RLCD technology certified by TÜV Rheinland for eye care and sustainability; HannStar plans 2025 eVPD expansions into tablets, PC monitors, and digital signage with Argentum Birefringence for enhanced color. In November 2024, the company appointed Justin Chien as Financial Officer and Accounting Officer.
