UMB Financial Corporation operates as a diversified financial holding company providing commercial, personal and institutional banking and asset-servicing solutions in the United States. Through its principal banking subsidiary, UMB Bank, N.A., the Company serves small and middle-market businesses, corporations, government entities, financial institutions, fund sponsors, healthcare organizations, high-net-worth individuals and retail customers through Commercial Banking, Personal Banking and Institutional Banking segments. Commercial banking offerings include business checking, savings and money-market accounts; commercial and industrial loans; commercial real estate financing; construction lending; asset-based lending; mezzanine debt and minority-equity investments; equipment and specialty financing; commercial credit cards; letters of credit; loan syndications; treasury management; payments and receivables solutions; merchant and bankcard services; foreign exchange; investment and retirement-plan services; and correspondent banking. Personal banking offerings include consumer deposit accounts; debit and credit cards; residential mortgage, home-equity, automobile and other consumer loans; private banking; investment management; trust and estate administration; financial, retirement and estate planning; brokerage and advisory services; and wealth-management services. Founded in 1913, UMB Financial Corporation is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. In January 2025, the Company completed its all-stock acquisition of Heartland Financial USA, Inc., its largest acquisition to date, expanding its branch footprint from eight to 13 states, adding 104 branches and 115 ATMs, increasing its private-wealth assets under management and administration, and broadening its retail deposit base; UMB completed the related systems and brand conversion in October 2025, with former HTLF divisions thereafter operating under the UMB brand. In 2026, the Company reported continued expansion of its institutional custody franchise, with $250 billion of assets under custody as of March 31, 2026, and authorized the repurchase of up to 2.0 million shares of common stock in April 2026.
