UMH Properties, Inc. is a public equity real estate investment trust (REIT) specializing in the ownership, operation, and management of manufactured home communities. Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Freehold, New Jersey, UMH operates a portfolio of 145 manufactured home communities comprising approximately 27,000 developed homesites, including 10,800 rental homes and over 1,000 self-storage units. The company's main products and services include leasing manufactured homesites and homes to residents; selling and financing the sale of manufactured homes through its wholly-owned taxable REIT subsidiary, UMH Sales and Finance, Inc.; and managing community operations that focus on providing affordable, clean, and safe housing communities.
