Wheels Up Experience Inc. Wheels Up Experience Inc. (NYSE: UP) provides on-demand private aviation services primarily in the United States through membership programs, charter flights, aircraft management, and whole aircraft sales; it offers access to a diverse fleet of owned and leased aircraft including light, midsize, super-midsize, and large jets, as well as turboprops, supplemented by a global network of more than 1,500 safety-vetted third-party operators; additional services encompass wholesale charter brokerage, group and cargo flights, maintenance repair and operations (MRO), fixed-base operator (FBO) services, freight, safety and security solutions, and managed services for individuals, corporations, government entities, and civil organizations, with bookings facilitated via a proprietary mobile app and strategic commercial travel benefits through its partnership with Delta Air Lines Inc. Delta Air Lines, Inc.; the company operates internationally via its charter network and targets high-net-worth individuals, small and medium enterprises, and corporate clients with a focus on non-hub markets and personalized experiences. Founded in 2013 by Kenny Dichter and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, following a relocation from New York City in 2024, Wheels Up Experience Inc. went public in 2021 via a SPAC merger and maintains approximately 1,866 employees as of late 2024 with a fleet of around 154 owned and leased aircraft. Recent developments include Delta Air Lines acquiring a 95% stake in August 2023 to stabilize finances; a binding agreement in October 2024 to acquire 17 Embraer Phenom 300/300E light jets from GrandView Aviation for $105 million as part of fleet modernization to replace older Cessna, Hawker Beechcraft, and Citation X models with newer Challenger 300/350 jets, reducing average fleet age by a decade; securing a $332 million five-year revolving credit facility from Bank of America in late 2024; and divesting three non-core businesses—Baines Simmons, Kenyon International Emergency Services, and Redline Assured Security—in August 2025 for approximately $20 million to sharpen strategic focus on core aviation operations, fund fleet upgrades, and drive $50 million in cost efficiencies.
