DSM-Firmenich AG is a Swiss-domiciled company listed on Euronext Amsterdam that develops and produces science-based solutions in nutrition, health and beauty, encompassing vital nutrients, taste experiences, fragrances and ingredients for human and animal nutrition; perfumery and beauty products; taste, texture and health solutions for food and beverages; and health, nutrition and care offerings including early life nutrition, dietary supplements, medical nutrition and biomedical materials. Founded through the 2023 merger of Royal DSM, established in 1902, and Firmenich, established in 1895, DSM-Firmenich AG maintains dual headquarters in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland, and Maastricht, Netherlands, with approximately 340 sites across nearly 60 countries and around 30,000 employees serving markets in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and other regions. Recent developments include the announcement in February 2024 to divest its Animal Nutrition & Health business unit; the sale of its stake in the Feed Enzymes Alliance to partner Novonesis; completion ahead of schedule of a €1.08 billion share buyback program initiated in February 2025; and in August 2024, conclusion of a new €1.8 billion revolving credit facility replacing prior arrangements.
