Business
DSV A/S is a Danish global transport and logistics company offering integrated supply chain solutions through its three core segments: Air & Sea, Road, and Solutions. The company provides air freight services including charter and sea-air freight; sea freight services encompassing less-than-container load (LCL), full container load (FCL), break bulk, specialized cargo handling, and shipping container services; road freight services such as full load, part load, groupage, and tailored project cargo solutions; and contract logistics including warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management, and supply chain optimization. DSV also offers freight management, customs clearance, order management, insurance, and e-commerce solutions across multiple industries including automotive, technology, healthcare, energy, industrial, consumer, defense, aerospace, and chemical sectors. DSV operates globally with offices in more than 80 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia, and the Pacific, headquartered in Hedehusene, Denmark. Founded in 1976, the company employs over 73,000 people worldwide. In 2025, DSV completed the strategic acquisition of Schenker from Deutsche Bahn for approximately DKK 106.7 billion (around EUR 14.3 billion), significantly expanding its global footprint and establishing itself as a leading player in the transport and logistics industry. The integration of Schenker has commenced with a focus on the Air & Sea division, and DSV anticipates realizing annual synergies of DKK 9 billion by the end of 2028. The company introduced a new global leadership team and secured a framework agreement with German works councils to facilitate smooth integration and operational continuity. DSV has maintained a strong financial performance amidst the integration process, with continued organic growth and stable cash flow conversion. The company rebranded from DSV Panalpina A/S to DSV A/S in September 2021, reflecting its evolving market position and unified branding strategy. DSV’s operations emphasize asset-light logistics without owning ships or airplanes, relying on partnerships and digital platforms to provide real-time shipment tracking, documentation management, and customer support services. Its business model centers on delivering flexible, scalable, and technology-driven logistics solutions designed to enhance supply chain efficiency and visibility for a diverse customer base that spans from small enterprises to large multinational corporations. Jens Lund has served as CEO since February 2024, leading the company through its recent expansion and integration phases. DSV’s extensive service portfolio and geographic reach position it as a comprehensive logistics provider committed to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric solutions worldwide.
