Venator Materials PLC manufactures and markets titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives worldwide. The company produces rutile, anatase and ultrafine grades of titanium dioxide (TiO2) for applications including coatings, printing inks, plastics, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and catalysts; performance additives such as barium and zinc compounds for coatings, films, paper and glass fiber reinforced plastics, coloured inorganic pigments comprising iron oxides including brands such as Copperas Red, Davis Colors, Ferroxide, Granufin, Holiday Pigments and Mapico, ultramarines, specialty inorganic chemicals and driers for construction, plastics, inks, catalysts and laminates, wood protection chemicals for residential and commercial uses against decay, fungal and insect attack, and timber treatment chemicals for decking, fencing and industrial structures like telephone poles and piers. Venator operates production facilities in the United Kingdom, United States, Europe and Asia, targeting coatings, plastics, inks, construction and chemicals sectors. Incorporated in 2017 and headquartered in Stockton-on-Tees, UK, the company spun out from Huntsman Corp. In July 2024, Venator completed the sale of its 50% interest in the Louisiana Pigment Company TiO2 joint venture to Kronos Worldwide for $185 million in cash plus a potential $15 million earnout. In October 2025, LB Group Co. Ltd acquired Venator's global TiO2 manufacturing assets, including the UK Greatham site and operations in Malaysia, alongside real estate, machinery and intellectual property from subsidiary Venator Materials UK Ltd. The company entered administration in 2025, with joint administrators appointed and approximately 273 job cuts announced at Venator UK.
