Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, Vishay operates manufacturing facilities across the Americas, Europe, Israel, and Asia, serving diverse end markets from advanced driver-assistance systems and electric vehicle powertrains to 5G infrastructure, IoT devices, and implantable medical equipment. In recent developments, the company completed a major expansion of its inductor and frequency control device portfolio in 2025 by releasing over 2,000 new stock-keeping units across nearly 100 series, including wireless charging inductors, common-mode chokes, high-current ferrite impedance beads, TLVR inductors, and nearly 15 new frequency control products, with further rollouts planned and global production capacity scaling to support demand. Additionally, Vishay integrated Ametherm as Vishay Ametherm following its recent acquisition, introducing high-energy PTC and NTC inrush current limiting solutions showcased at APEC 2025 for applications in robotics, AI data centers, EV charging, and renewable energy; extended its Critical Manufacturing MES implementation to semiconductor facilities in 2024 for enhanced operational efficiency; and completed the UK government-approved acquisition of Nexperia's Inmos microprocessor factory in March 2024.
