(Nasdaq:VTVT), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company incorporated in 2015 and headquartered in High Point, North Carolina, focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of orally administered small molecule drug candidates for metabolic diseases, particularly diabetes, inflammatory conditions and other chronic disorders. The company operates primarily in the United States with global partnerships for certain territories and serves patient populations with type 1 diabetes, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, type 2 diabetes, psoriasis, COPD, atopic dermatitis, primary mitochondrial myopathy and oxidative stress-related diseases. Its lead product candidate, cadisegliatin (TTP399), comprises a liver-selective glucokinase activator in Phase 3 clinical trials as an adjunctive therapy to insulin for type 1 diabetes to reduce hypoglycemic events; TTP273 functions as a glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonist in Phase 1 for cystic fibrosis-related diabetes postprandial hyperglycemia and Phase 2 for type 2 diabetes; HPP737 serves as a non-CNS penetrant PDE4 inhibitor that completed Phase 1 trials for psoriasis, COPD and atopic dermatitis; HPP593 acts as a PPAR-delta activator for primary mitochondrial myopathy; HPP3033 targets the Nrf2 pathway for oxidative stress-associated chronic diseases; azeliragon targets RAGE for pancreatic cancer; and additional programs address renal diseases, T1D prevention and undisclosed indications. vTv Therapeutics maintains worldwide rights to TTP399 and HPP3033 while partnering with entities such as Newsoara Biopharma for HPP737 in China and the Pacific Rim excluding Japan, Huadong Medicine for TTP273 in similar regions, Reneo Pharmaceuticals for HPP593 worldwide with retained equity interest, Anteris Bio for HPP971 in renal diseases with equity interest, and Cantex for azeliragon worldwide. As a majority-owned subsidiary of MacAndrews & Forbes Group LLC, the company recently completed an $80 million private placement in September 2025 with new and existing investors including Samsara BioCapital, T1D Fund, Trails Edge Capital Partners and Invus to fund the ongoing Phase 3 CATT1 trial for cadisegliatin and pipeline advancement; terminated its licensing agreement with OnKure Therapeutics (formerly Reneo Pharmaceuticals) effective January 2025 for the PPAR-delta agonist program; secured prior investments such as $51 million in early 2025 and $10 million from CinRx Pharma in 2022; advanced cadisegliatin with FDA Breakthrough Therapy designation, Phase 2b data and Phase 3 initiation; and reported $98.5 million in cash as of September 30, 2025 following the financing.
