- The Wharf (Holdings) Limited (WARFY) engages primarily in property investment, development, hotel operations and logistics infrastructure. The company owns and manages investment properties featuring premium retail, office and serviced apartment spaces in prime locations in Hong Kong, including the exclusive Peak Portfolio of luxury residential developments; development properties in Hong Kong and multiple Mainland China cities such as Beijing, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Suzhou; hotels operated under the Wharf Hotels division across Hong Kong, Mainland China and the Philippines with brands Niccolo, Marco Polo and Maqo, totaling 16 properties plus a Park Hyatt-managed hotel in Changsha that opened in June 2024; and logistics infrastructure through ownership and operation of Modern Terminals for container handling and a founding stake in Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals. Founded in 1886 and headquartered at 16th Floor, Ocean Centre, Harbour City, Canton Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong, Wharf operates principally in Hong Kong and Mainland China, targeting high-end retail tenants, discerning residential buyers, corporate office occupiers, luxury hospitality guests and global trade logistics clients.
In November 2025, Wharf entered into a new three-year Master Hotel Services Agreement with Wharf Real Estate Investment Company Limited (WREIC), its connected affiliate following the 2017 spin-off, to regulate ongoing hotel-related services including management, marketing, technical support, procurement and reservations for WREIC-owned properties in Hong Kong and Mainland China, with annual caps escalating from HK$81 million in 2026 to HK$112 million in 2028. The agreement, effective from January 2026, builds on prior arrangements and supports stable revenue streams amid economic recovery, reflecting continued strategic alignment within the broader Wheelock and Company Limited group structure. Wharf also advanced sustainability efforts with near-term science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in June 2025, alongside reporting total assets of HK$198.6 billion as of June 30, 2025.
