- Washington Business Bank (WBZB), a state-chartered community bank founded in 2002 and headquartered in Olympia, Washington, provides commercial and personal banking products and services primarily to small and midsized businesses and middle-income individuals in western Washington. The bank offers deposit products including checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit boxes; lending solutions such as lines of credit, customized term loans, seasonal loans, commercial real estate loans, and construction loans; and treasury services encompassing ATM/debit cards, online banking, merchant services, internet bill pay, cash and coin ordering, drive-thru banking, and cash management solutions. It operates from its primary location at 223 5th Avenue SE in Olympia and targets business clients with expertise in cash management alongside personal deposit services. In late 2024, Sound Credit Union, headquartered in Tacoma, Washington, completed the acquisition of Washington Business Bank, assuming all assets and substantially all liabilities to expand its branch network to 26 full-service locations serving personal and business customers statewide. Sound finalized the system conversion of Washington Business Bank in June 2025, integrating its operations and increasing total assets to over $3 billion, including more than $2.5 billion in deposits and $2.3 billion in loans, while maintaining the Olympia branch under Sound's branding.
