Business
Beyond Air, Inc. (Nasdaq: XAIR) is a commercial-stage medical device and biopharmaceutical company that develops the LungFit platform, a nitric oxide generator and delivery system which produces nitric oxide from ambient room air for inhalation therapies targeting respiratory diseases, infections, and other conditions. The company's core products include LungFit PH, an FDA-approved system for persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn in hospital NICU settings delivering low-concentration nitric oxide up to 80 ppm; LungFit GO, an investigational at-home device for high-concentration nitric oxide (80 to 400 ppm) treatments of nontuberculous mycobacteria lung infections and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; and LungFit PRO, an investigational hospital system for high-concentration antimicrobial applications including viral community-acquired pneumonia. Beyond Air also advances drug candidates such as BA 102, a neuronal nitric oxide synthase inhibitor for autism spectrum disorder, Phelan-McDermid syndrome, and Alzheimer's disease through its NeuroNOS segment; and ultra-high concentration nitric oxide therapies (>10,000 ppm) via affiliate Beyond Cancer for cutaneous and solid tumors, including monotherapy and combinations with anti-PD-1 or anti-CTLA-4. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Garden City, New York, the company operates primarily in the United States with expanding international distribution; it changed its name from AIT Therapeutics, Inc. in June 2019. Recent developments include expansion of the LungFit PH global distribution network to 18 countries through new agreements in France, Turkey, Romania, Morocco, Japan, South Korea, and Costa Rica as of fiscal second quarter 2026; partnerships with Getz Healthcare for 10 Asian markets including Australia and New Zealand, and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem for neurological disorder treatments; a grant from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation supporting LungFit GO trials; and ongoing FDA discussions for cardiac surgery indications and next-generation LungFit PH2 system approval.
