In recent developments, YIT sold its renewable energy division YIT Energy Oy to Eolus Vind AB in 2023 for EUR 25 million plus potential earn-outs, divested its in-house equipment services subsidiary to Renta Oy in 2024, announced a new strategy and financial targets for 2025-2029 in November 2024 emphasizing an adjusted operating profit margin of at least 7%, secured a substantial financing arrangement with new capital and enhanced loan terms, launched new projects valued at nearly EUR 400 million for completion in 2026, and in July 2025 won a EUR 28 million contract from the Port of Helsinki to expand the West Harbour quay and field area by the end of 2027.
