Recent developments include aggressive 5G rollouts and fiber expansions in key markets like Mexico, Brazil and Colombia from 2022-2024; sale of Tracfone Wireless U.S. operations to Verizon for approximately $6.9 billion in 2021; acquisition of controlling interest of about 91% in Chilean joint venture ClaroVTR from Liberty Latin America in 2025 pending regulatory approval; a 10-year advertising partnership with ICARO Media Group via Claro Brasil announced in 2025; a major share buyback program of MXP15 billion from April 2024 to April 2025 with treasury share cancellations; and a non-binding agreement with Entel in October 2025 alongside ongoing network modernization investments projected at 22 billion Mexican pesos over three years.
