Business
Euro Manganese Inc. (TSX-V/ASX: EMN; OTCQB: EUMNF; Frankfurt: E06) is a battery materials company focused on developing and producing high-purity manganese products for the electric vehicle industry and high-technology applications; its core offerings include high-purity electrolytic manganese metal (HPEMM), high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (HPMSM) and other manganese products derived from reprocessing historic mine tailings. The company advances its flagship 100%-owned Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic, east of Prague, which represents the only sizable manganese resource in the European Union and a waste-to-value recycling opportunity from a decommissioned mine; it also explores an early-stage battery-grade manganese production opportunity in Bécancour, Québec, Canada. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Euro Manganese targets lithium-ion battery manufacturers and operates principally in Europe with approximately 60 employees. Recent developments include the designation of the Chvaletice Project as a Strategic Project under the European Union's Critical Raw Materials Act in March 2025, reinforcing its role in sustainable raw material supply chains; receipt of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment approval in March 2024 and the Determination of Mining Lease permit in January 2025, alongside the Czech government's declaration of the deposit as strategic in March 2025. In late 2024 and early 2025, the company closed an upsized C$11.2 million (A$12.3 million) financing anchored by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Eric Sprott, with EBRD increasing its ownership stake, and completed a A$1.5 million Share Purchase Plan oversubscription in May 2025. Additional milestones encompass an amendment to its US$100 million funding package with Orion Resource Partners in December 2024, deferring interest payments to conserve cash for project advancement; appointment of Rick Anthon as Chairman and Sherry Roberge as Interim Chief Financial Officer in 2025; and ongoing efforts to secure offtake agreements and operate a demonstration plant.
