Business
Mont Royal Resources Limited (ASX:MRZ; TSXV:MRZ) is an Australia-based critical minerals development and exploration company focused on rare earth elements, niobium, fluorspar, lithium, gold, silver, copper and nickel projects in Quebec, Canada. The company develops the flagship Ashram Rare Earths & Fluorspar Project, one of North America's largest monazite-hosted rare earth deposits with a NI 43-101 resource of 204 million tonnes grading 1.9% total rare earth oxides; the adjacent Eldor Niobium Project, featuring a significant high-grade niobium discovery; and the Northern Lights Project in the James Bay region, where it holds a 75% interest in tenements prospective for lithium, precious and base metals. Operations target the clean energy transition, supplying magnet-feed rare earths, strategic metals and industrial minerals to markets including electric vehicles, wind energy, defence and advanced technologies, with headquarters in Montréal, Québec. In October 2025, Mont Royal completed a transformational merger with Commerce Resources Corp., creating a dual-listed Québec-focused entity and combining the Ashram and Eldor projects with Northern Lights; the company concurrently raised A$10 million through a public equity offering to fund a preliminary economic assessment at Ashram, advance Eldor niobium exploration and progress Northern Lights drilling. Mont Royal re-listed on the ASX in November 2025 following the merger, with over $50 million historically invested in Ashram drilling and studies to support de-risked development in a tier-1 mining jurisdiction.
