The vertically integrated company, founded in 1983 and headquartered in Oxnard, California, operates over 4,000 hectares of owned orchards and farms across California, Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, and South Africa; maintains five state-of-the-art packinghouses in the U.S., Mexico, Peru, and Guatemala; and runs 19 ripening, packing, and forward distribution centers globally, including major facilities in Oxnard, California; Laredo, Texas; and the United Kingdom. Recent developments include the inauguration of a state-of-the-art packhouse in Guatemala in April 2025, attended by the President of Guatemala and the U.S. Ambassador, to bolster vertical integration and support the country's emergence as a key avocado producer; expansion of the global sourcing network to meet rising demand for avocados and mangos in Europe and the UK as of September 2025; the appointment of Douglas Stone as an independent director to the Board effective November 26, 2025; ongoing development of over 1,000 hectares of avocado orchards in Limpopo, South Africa, through a 2023 joint venture with ZZ2, Criterion Africa Partners, and Core Fruit; and product innovations such as jumbo avocado bags, Honey Mango clamshells, and Retail Ready Mango Bags to address consumer preferences for convenience and larger servings.
