Business
Desktop S.A. is a Brazilian telecommunications and digital connectivity company that provides high-speed fiber-optic broadband internet, digital television, telephony, and business technology solutions. The company operates primarily through proprietary fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) network infrastructure across the retail (B2C) and corporate (B2B) markets. Its portfolio of products and services includes high-bandwidth residential fiber internet plans; bundled linear pay-TV and over-the-top (OTT) digital streaming services featuring content partnerships with major entertainment platforms; digital voice over IP (VoIP) and fixed-line telephony services; dedicated symmetrical internet access and point-to-point data transmission for corporate clients; Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) and LAN-to-LAN private network connectivity; managed Wi-Fi and mesh networking systems; and cloud connectivity, network redundancy, and enterprise cybersecurity solutions. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Sumaré, São Paulo, Brazil, the company operates across more than 180 municipalities in the interior, metropolitan, and coastal areas of the State of São Paulo. In recent operational and strategic developments, Desktop S.A. has expanded its geographic footprint and subscriber base through strategic acquisitions and operational integrations of regional internet service providers, including LPNet, Fasternet, IDC Telecom, Netvisão, Celler, and Starnet. The company has unified acquired operations under the single Desktop brand, integrated regional network backbones to optimize operational synergies, expanded its homes-passed fiber footprint, and broadened its commercial B2B offerings and mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) value-added digital service partnerships to strengthen its competitive position in the Brazilian telecommunications market.
