Business
Livetech da Bahia Indústria e Comércio S.A., operating commercially under the trade name WDC Networks, is a Brazil-based technology company engaged in the manufacturing, value-added distribution, and commercialization of telecommunications equipment, enterprise networking infrastructure, cybersecurity systems, physical security solutions, professional audio and video equipment, data center systems, and photovoltaic solar energy components. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Ilhéus, State of Bahia, Brazil, the company maintains corporate offices in São Paulo, central distribution and manufacturing facilities in Ilhéus and Extrema, Minas Gerais, and international commercial hubs serving Latin America. Livetech da Bahia operates primarily across Brazil and the broader Latin American region, catering to internet service providers (ISPs), telecommunications carriers, enterprise clients, systems integrators, and government entities. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of hardware, software, and specialized services, organized across distinct product and service segments: Telecom and Broadband Infrastructure, comprising fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) solutions, optical line terminals (OLTs), optical network units (ONUs), fiber optic cabling, carrier-grade routing systems, wireless backhaul radios, and metro-Ethernet switching from technology partners such as Nokia, Huawei, and FiberHome; Enterprise IT, Networking, and Cybersecurity, including corporate switching and routing hardware, Wi-Fi 6/6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points, software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) appliances, unified communications, IP telephony systems, structured cabling, next-generation firewalls, and endpoint protection software; Physical Security and Smart Cities, featuring IP video surveillance cameras, network video recorders (NVRs), access control systems, video management software (VMS), and pro-AV and public address equipment from brands such as Axis Communications, Bosch, and Dahua; Photovoltaic Solar Energy, encompassing solar inverters, solar panels, string boxes, mounting structures, and energy storage systems; and Technology as a Service (TaaS), providing a comprehensive operational leasing, hardware-as-a-service, and lifecycle management model that allows enterprise and ISP clients to acquire and deploy turnkey technology infrastructure under long-term recurring operational expenditure (OpEx) contracts. In recent operational developments, Livetech da Bahia has strategically repositioned its commercial portfolio to prioritize higher-margin enterprise cybersecurity, cloud-ready networking, and data center infrastructure, while adjusting the scale of its solar energy distribution operations in response to regulatory changes in the Brazilian distributed generation market. The company has expanded its strategic vendor partnerships to incorporate high-density networking and artificial intelligence infrastructure solutions, deepened its distribution agreements in the telecommunications and corporate connectivity sectors, and accelerated the expansion of its recurring revenue base via the WDC TaaS platform. Additionally, the company has executed operational rationalization and working capital optimization programs, including inventory realignment and debt reprofiling initiatives, while expanding its regional Latin American presence through its subsidiaries in Colombia and Panama.
