Bicecorp S.A. is a Chile-based financial holding company that provides a comprehensive range of commercial banking, investment management, life insurance, financing, and corporate financial services to retail consumers, high-net-worth individuals, small- and medium-sized enterprises, and large corporate institutions. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the company operates as a core financial holding of the Matte Group, functioning primarily through specialized operating subsidiaries including Banco BICE, BICE Inversiones, BICE Vida Compañía de Seguros, BICE Factoring, BICE Hipotecaria, BICE Renta Urbana, BICE Chileconsult, and BICE Ventures, with primary geographic operations across Chile, international wealth and real estate investment initiatives in the United States through BICE US, and corporate travel services in Chile and Peru. The company organizes its business activities into four main operating segments: Banking, Investments and Asset Management, Life Insurance, and Financing and Auxiliary Services. The Banking segment, operated through Banco BICE, offers personal and commercial banking products and services, including checking and savings accounts; demand and time deposits; debit, credit, and prepaid cards; consumer, payroll, and residential mortgage loans; commercial lending, working capital financing, structured finance, syndicated loans, and project financing; foreign trade financing, import and export letters of credit, and documentary collections; and treasury services, foreign currency exchange, interest rate and currency derivatives, liquidity management, digital banking platforms, and automated payroll disbursement. The Investments and Asset Management segment, operated through BICE Inversiones and affiliated brokerage entities, provides mutual fund administration; public and private investment fund management, including alternative asset, private equity, and real estate funds; discretionary and non-discretionary wealth management and multi-family office advisory; domestic and international equity, fixed-income, and money market brokerage; foreign exchange spot and forward intermediation; and corporate finance advisory, including mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring, capital raising, and bond underwriting. The Life Insurance segment, conducted through BICE Vida Compañía de Seguros, delivers individual and group life insurance; complementary health, dental, and catastrophic illness insurance; personal accident and disability coverage; mortgage protection and credit life policies; educational savings plans; and retirement solutions, including life annuities and voluntary pension savings plans. The Financing and Auxiliary Services segment provides commercial factoring, invoice discounting, and receivables management through BICE Factoring; residential and commercial equipment leasing; mortgage loan origination and servicing through BICE Hipotecaria; commercial real estate investment and property management through BICE Renta Urbana; corporate venture capital investments in financial technology startups via BICE Ventures; and corporate travel management services. In recent major developments, Bicecorp completed a transformative merger with Chilean financial group Grupo Security S.A., following regulatory approvals from the National Economic Prosecutor's Office and the Financial Market Commission. The transaction incorporated the holding operations of Grupo Security into Bicecorp and merged Banco Security into Banco BICE to create an integrated financial conglomerate operating as Grupo BICE, commanding over USD 40 billion in combined assets and serving more than 2.4 million clients across expanded retail banking, corporate financing, life annuities, and asset management platforms.
