Birks Group Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and retails fine jewelry, luxury timepieces, sterling and plated silverware, gifts and related accessories in Canada. The Company markets proprietary fine-jewelry collections under the Birks and Maison Birks brands, including diamond engagement rings and wedding bands; diamond, gemstone, gold and precious-metal necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings; personalized jewelry; men’s jewelry; and fashion, bridal and high-jewelry products. It also operates multi-brand and mono-brand luxury retail boutiques offering Swiss and other premium watches, jewelry, writing instruments, accessories and gift products from third-party brands, supported by in-store client services and e-commerce sales channels. Birks Group operates 32 retail locations in major Canadian metropolitan markets and the Greater Toronto Area. Its retail network includes 17 Maison Birks stores; a Birks store and a TimeVallée boutique in Montreal; a Brinkhaus store in Calgary; Patek Philippe and Chaumet boutiques in Vancouver; Breitling boutiques in Laval, Ottawa and Toronto; Omega and Montblanc boutiques in Toronto; and four European Boutique luxury watch and jewelry stores in the Greater Toronto Area. The Company serves luxury consumers, bridal customers, gift purchasers and watch collectors through directly operated stores and digital commerce platforms. Birks Group was founded in 1879 and is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In 2025, Birks Group acquired the luxury watch and jewelry operations of European Boutique, including four Toronto-area stores, expanding its presence in the Greater Toronto Area and its portfolio of luxury timepiece and jewelry retail operations. In June 2026, the Company refinanced its prior term loan through a five-year $32.5 million senior secured term loan facility with an affiliate of Gordon Brothers, extended and increased its Wells Fargo senior secured revolving credit facility to $93 million through June 2031, and extended a $3.75 million loan from controlling shareholder Mangrove Holding S.A.; the financing is intended to support store renovations, omnichannel capabilities, digital-commerce initiatives and working-capital needs. Birks Group also announced plans in August 2026 to voluntarily delist its Class A voting shares from NYSE American and transition trading to the OTCQB Venture Market.
