- Alfa Solar Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. is a Turkey-based renewable energy company primarily engaged in the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, as well as the development, engineering, and operation of solar power generation assets. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Ankara, Turkey, the company operates as a subsidiary of Alfa Kazan Enerji ve Cevre Yatirimlari A.S. and maintains extensive automated manufacturing and logistics facilities located in the Kirikkale 1st Organized Industrial Zone.
The company operates across three core business segments: Solar Module Manufacturing, Electricity Generation, and Energy Project Engineering. Its product and service portfolio encompasses the manufacturing of high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, including monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar modules; half-cut and half-cut all-black architectural modules; high-output bifacial dual-glass solar panels; and advanced N-type TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) high-performance modules optimized for utility-scale ground arrays, commercial and industrial rooftops, and residential installations; comprehensive turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, encompassing solar project design, technical integration, grid connection, and ongoing plant operation and maintenance; independent electricity generation and power trading through an expanding portfolio of company-owned grid-connected solar power plants (GES); and the development and integration of energy storage systems, utility-scale battery solutions, and electric vehicle (EV) charging hardware, management software, and charging station infrastructure. The company serves public utilities, industrial and commercial enterprises, agricultural clients, and residential end-users across Turkey and international markets.
In recent strategic and operational developments, Alfa Solar Enerji has significantly expanded its manufacturing capacity, technological footprint, and international asset portfolio. The company established a 50-50 joint venture with Astronergy Europe, an affiliate of Chint Group, under Astronergy Yuksek Teknoloji Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. to develop an integrated ingot, wafer, and solar cell manufacturing facility in Balikesir, Turkey, with an initial phase-one capacity of 2.5 GW and an estimated investment of 200 million USD supported by the Turkish government's HIT-30 High-Technology Incentive Program, scheduled for commissioning in the first quarter of 2027. Domestically, the company expanded its annual photovoltaic module manufacturing capacity in Kirikkale to approximately 1,980 MWp and acquired generation assets including Ada GES Elektrik Uretim A.S. and Aydost Enerji Uretimi A.S. to bolster its owned power generation base. Internationally, the company established Alfa Solar Romania S.R.L. and acquired a 100% equity stake in Romanian renewable operator Salcia Solar Energy S.R.L. to scale solar generation assets in Southeastern Europe, formulated strategic expansion plans for a battery manufacturing facility in the United States, and actively conducts a corporate share buyback program on Borsa Istanbul (BIST: ALFAS) to support long-term shareholder value.
