Ford Otosan imports and sells passenger cars and spare parts in Turkey, manages after-sales services through authorized dealers, and exports to over 90 countries across five continents, leading Turkey's automotive exports for 14 years and overall goods exports for 10 years with engineering from its Sancaktepe R&D center, Turkey's largest automotive R&D facility. Recent developments include the 2022 acquisition of Ford Romania (Craiova plant) for EUR 625 million plus EUR 140 million conditional, enabling production of next-generation Courier (with full-electric versions from 2024), Puma (adding all-electric in 2024), and expanding total capacity beyond 900,000 vehicles; the Yeniköy plant's EUR 2 billion redesign as a "factory of the future" inaugurated in 2023 for next-generation Transit Custom (2024 International Van of the Year winner, with plug-in hybrid and all-electric E-Custom by 2024) under Ford-Volkswagen alliance; launch of F-LINE truck series and plans for E-Truck electric heavy vehicle in 2025 plus hydrogen engine projects; and production capacity growth to 746,500 units in 2023 with record 589,758 vehicles produced.
