- Koza Polyester Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. is a Turkey-based chemical and synthetic fiber manufacturing company engaged in the production, processing, and distribution of polyester staple fibers, polymer chips, and specialty thermoplastic compounds. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Gaziantep, Turkey, the company operates manufacturing facilities located within the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, supplying synthetic materials to textile, nonwoven, automotive, and technical industrial sectors across domestic and international markets.
The company organizes its core business operations around the manufacture and sale of synthetic fibers and polymer materials. Its primary product and service portfolio comprises polyester staple fibers (PSF) in solid, hollow, hollow-conjugated, siliconized, non-siliconized, super-carded, optical bright white, and dope-dyed color formulations across diverse deniers and staple lengths; low-melt bicomponent fibers engineered for thermal bonding; polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) chips and engineering plastic compounds; textile-grade and high-viscosity polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polymer granules; customized color and functional additive masterbatches; recycled polyester fibers (rPET) manufactured from mechanical recycling processes; and specialized technical compound formulations. These products serve end-use industries including hygiene nonwovens, geotextiles, industrial filtration, automotive interior and acoustic components, home textiles, ring and open-end yarn spinning, furniture batting, and bedding fillings. Koza Polyester distributes its products throughout Turkey and exports to markets across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Americas.
In recent developments, Koza Polyester completed its initial public offering on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker symbol KOPOL in April 2023, directing capital toward production scale expansion and modernization. Following the public listing, the company has advanced capacity expansion initiatives across its continuous polymerization and fiber extrusion infrastructure to increase output and enhance the share of higher-margin specialty products, including bicomponent and technical fibers. To reduce operating costs and lower carbon emissions, Koza Polyester has executed substantial capital expenditures into renewable energy, commissioning rooftop and ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power plant installations across its industrial properties. In addition, the company has strengthened its sustainability focus by expanding its recycled flake processing capabilities to meet rising international demand for certified rPET circular synthetic products.
