- Yayla Agro Gida Sanayi ve Nakliyat AS is a Turkey-based agrifood company engaged in the processing, packaging, trading, and distribution of pulses, grains, and ready-to-eat food products, as well as the provision of integrated agricultural logistics and transportation services. The company operates through two primary segments: Conventional and Packaged Agri-Food Products, and Ready-to-Eat and Value-Added Convenience Foods. Its product portfolio includes raw and packaged legumes such as rice, red and green lentils, chickpeas, white beans, bulgur, and peas; specialty and functional grains including quinoa, chia seeds, buckwheat, and amaranth; organic and gluten-free agricultural staples; shelf-stable ready-to-eat meals packaged in retort pouches, comprising ready-made soups, grain bowls, pilafs, boiled legumes, pasta dishes, and traditional stews requiring no cold-chain storage; and bulk agro-commodities supplied to industrial processors and wholesalers. Yayla Agro markets its consumer products under proprietary brand names, including Yayla, Ala Ciftlik, Yemek Hazir, and Legurme. The company serves domestic supermarket chains, discount retail grocers, institutional clients, and food service channels, while exporting to more than 60 countries across Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia.
Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Ankara, Turkey, the company operates major processing and packaging complexes in Ankara, Mersin, and Nigde. In recent operational developments, Yayla Agro has completed phased investments and expanded production capacity at its modern manufacturing campus in Nigde, significantly scaling up high-technology, automated retort packaging lines for shelf-stable ready meals. To advance its environmental sustainability and cost optimization goals, the company has completed rooftop solar photovoltaic power plant installations across its production facilities in Nigde, Mersin, and Ankara to support self-sufficient clean energy generation. Additionally, Yayla Agro has expanded the international retail distribution network of its Legurme export brand across European and North American markets, while broadening its research and development pipeline in clean-label and plant-based functional food formulations.
