Business
Asturiana de Laminados, S.A. (ELZ.MC), trading as elZinc, manufactures rolled zinc products for architectural applications including roofing, cladding and rainwater systems; its core offerings encompass coils and sheets, profiled products such as roof tiles, standing seam clips, strippers and structural underlays, honeycomb and composite panels, spherical anodes, zinc foams and facade solutions. The Spain-based company, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Pola de Lena in the Asturias region, operates as a subsidiary of Laminados del Principado, S.A. and ranks among the world's three largest producers of rolled zinc, with production focused on transforming zinc ingots into customized coils and sheets alongside design, manufacturing and logistics of metal components for construction, transport and heavy industry. It serves markets across Europe, North America, Australia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, with primary revenue from exports exceeding 97% of sales and key growth regions including China, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia and North Africa. In 2024-2025, the company completed a court-approved financial restructuring plan to optimize its balance sheet and support its 2025-2032 business strategy, following a 2023 MARF bond issuance program of up to 50 million euros aimed at debt repayment and expansion; it listed shares on the Spanish MAB growth market in June 2017, executed a capital increase exceeding 30%, extended bond coupon maturities to August 2027 and pursued investments in production capacity alongside new product launches and geographic market entries.
