The bank offers deposit products including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, individual retirement accounts, and certificates of deposit; consumer loans such as auto loans, home equity lines of credit, unsecured personal loans, and household expenditure loans; mortgage products under the Virginia Mountain Mortgage trade name encompassing conventional, construction, single- and multifamily housing loans; commercial and agricultural loans including commercial real estate financing, equipment financing, secured term loans, lot loans, farm loans, agricultural production loans, and lines of credit; insurance products covering property, homeowner, flood, auto, truck, life, umbrella, cyber liability, data breach, and workers' compensation; wealth management services through Botetourt Wealth Management featuring financial and retirement planning, asset allocation, model management, business owner planning, finance management, charitable and estate planning; treasury management services; merchant services with point-of-sale options like Clover Mini, Clover Go, and virtual terminals supporting EMV chip cards, contactless payments, Google Pay, and Apple Pay; and digital banking solutions including online banking, mobile banking, telephone banking, remote deposit capture, debit cards, and bill payment services. Bank of Botetourt operates 13 full-service branches in Botetourt, Roanoke, Rockbridge, and Franklin counties, the cities of Salem and Roanoke, and the towns of Vinton and Buchanan, all located in Virginia; the bank was founded in 1899 as Bank of Buchanan, changed its name to Bank of Botetourt in 1995, and maintains its headquarters at 19747 Main Street in Buchanan, Virginia. Recent developments include the opening of new branches in Rocky Mount in 2024 and Melrose in 2025 to expand its geographic footprint; appointment of Michelle R. Austin as the seventh president and board member in February 2023, alongside G. Lyn Hayth III's planned retirement as CEO; addition of A.
