(BPIRF) is a financial holding company listed on the Athens Stock Exchange and serves as the parent of Piraeus Bank S.A., Greece's leading bank by loan and deposit market share. Founded in 1916 and headquartered in Athens, the group offers a comprehensive range of banking and financial services through its subsidiaries, including retail banking products such as mortgages like Spiti25, consumer credit, deposits, and e-banking; corporate and SME financing, leasing, factoring, and real estate management; investment banking, capital markets, treasury, asset management with €14 billion under management, and green banking solutions; as well as insurance distribution via Piraeus Agency Solutions in partnership with NN Hellas and ERGO, and operations through a Frankfurt branch and JSC Piraeus Bank ICB in Ukraine. The group maintains the largest distribution network in Greece with 371 branches and over 2,000 ATMs, serving 6 million customers primarily in Greece while supporting economic recovery through diversified revenue streams and lending expansion exceeding €37 billion in net loans. In November 2025, Piraeus Bank completed the €600 million acquisition of Ethniki Insurance from CVC Capital Partners and National Bank of Greece, integrating a leading insurer with €850 million in gross written premiums, 1.8 million customers, and a 14.6% market share to enhance revenue diversification across banking, protection, and investment solutions; recent developments also include the Q3 2025 launch of neobank Snappi with over 30,000 early users, a €100 million share buyback program, upgraded 2025 targets for net credit expansion above €3.5 billion and 15% return on tangible book value, and sustained strong capital ratios around 20%.
