Shree Hanuman Sugar & Industries Ltd manufactures sugar and related by-products at its facility in Motihari, Bihar; produces white crystal sugar in S-30 grade for beverages, domestic use and confectionery, and M-30 grade for mithai preparation in northern India and industrial applications; generates molasses sold to distilleries and ethanol units, bagasse used as fuel for co-generation or in paper and particle board production, and pressmud distributed to farmers as fertilizer. The company operates seasonally from November to March in the sugarcane-rich Indo-Gangetic plains of north Bihar, with a current crushing capacity of 2500 tonnes of cane per day expandable to 4000 tonnes through debottlenecking and targeting further expansion to 60000 tonnes in phases. In recent years, the Motihari sugar mill remained non-operational during fiscal 2021-22 due to outdated machinery, financial constraints and labour issues before resuming limited activities; the company entered the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process with ongoing Committee of Creditors meetings through 2025 including the 11th meeting scheduled for August 2025 in Guwahati, Assam, and reported unaudited financial results for quarters ended September 30 and December 31, 2024; it has historical ties to group entities such as Hanuman Industries (India) Pvt Ltd and past leases of its factory to Gobind Sugar Mills Ltd and Eastern Sugar & Industries Ltd.
