- Rana Sugars Limited engages in the integrated manufacturing of sugar, ethanol and extra neutral alcohol (ENA), and co-generation of power primarily in India. The company produces double refined white sulphurless sugar, plantation white sugar, raw sugar, sugar from sugar beet, molasses, and bagasse; ethanol, rectified spirit, and potable grade extra neutral alcohol; as well as power generated from bagasse and other fuels, and sugar beet pulp used as cattle and poultry feed. It operates three sugar manufacturing facilities with a collective cane-crushing capacity of 20,500 tonnes per day located in the Amritsar district of Punjab and the Moradabad and Rampur districts of Uttar Pradesh, alongside distillery units and co-generation plants with capacities including 105.9 MW of power generation and 60 KLPD of alcohol production. Founded in 1991 through collaboration with Punjab AgroCorporation and headquartered in Chandigarh, India, Rana Sugars serves domestic markets including industrial users, retailers, and livestock feed consumers. In recent developments, the company expanded its co-generation power capacity from 20 MW to 30 MW at one of its units, achieved record sugar beet crushing of 37.12 lakh quintals alongside total cane and beet crushing of 227.51 lakh quintals in FY23, and reported full-year net profit growth of 22.92% to Rs 34.38 crore for the year ended March 2025 with sales up 7.54% to Rs 1712.79 crore, despite a net loss of Rs 14.13 crore in the September 2025 quarter amid 10.43% sales decline to Rs 345.34 crore. All facilities hold FSSAI certification ensuring high-quality output, with operations benefiting from government support for the sugar sector including soft loans and interest subventions, while forward integration into distillery and power segments provides revenue diversification.
