Business
CF Energy Corp. is a Canadian public company that provides integrated energy and natural-gas distribution services in the People’s Republic of China. Through its subsidiaries, the Company operates three business segments: Gas Distribution Utility, which supplies pipeline natural gas (PNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to industrial, commercial and residential customers; provides natural-gas pipeline installation, connection and direct-transmission services; and operates natural-gas refuelling facilities in Sanya City; Integrated Smart Energy, which develops and operates clean-energy and district-energy systems, including the Haitang Bay Integrated Smart Energy Project and the Meishan Integrated District Energy Distribution Project, supplying cooling, heating, hot water, heat and power through integrated networks using solar, hydro, electricity and natural gas; and Smart Mobility, which operates electric-vehicle battery-swapping stations and conducts related electric-vehicle trading for designated customers. The Company’s operations span Hainan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hebei, Sichuan and Guangdong provinces in China. CF Energy continues to reposition its business from a conventional natural-gas utility toward a broader sustainable-energy solutions platform by integrating smart-energy systems, energy-storage technologies and battery-swapping infrastructure. Recent developments include a cooperative agreement with State Power Investment Corporation to develop a natural-gas pipeline in Daze, Xinhui, Jiangmen, Guangdong, and continued expansion of its EV battery-swapping activities, including support for station development in Beihai City. Formerly known as Changfeng Energy Inc., CF Energy Corp. was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
