(NASDAQ: CHTR) provides broadband connectivity and cable services to residential and business customers through its Spectrum brand across 41 states in the United States; core offerings include Spectrum Internet with high-speed fiber broadband options up to gigabit speeds, Spectrum TV featuring video entertainment, premium channels, on-demand content and streaming applications, Spectrum Mobile as a mobile virtual network operator utilizing Verizon's network, Spectrum Voice for residential and business telephony including VoIP services, and Spectrum Business solutions encompassing internet access, data networking, business telephone, video, music entertainment, wireless backhaul, advertising sales and production under Spectrum Reach, and managed IT and cloud services for small, medium and enterprise customers. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the company serves more than 31 million customers, with its Spectrum Fiber Broadband Network supporting seamless connectivity for work, entertainment and communications. In May 2025, Charter announced a definitive agreement with Cox Communications to combine operations in a transformative transaction valued based on 2025 Adjusted EBITDA multiples; Charter will acquire Cox's commercial fiber, managed IT and cloud businesses while receiving Cox's residential cable business into a subsidiary partnership, with Cox Enterprises receiving $4 billion in cash, $6 billion in convertible preferred units and approximately 33.6 million common units implying $11.9 billion value, expecting $500 million in annualized cost synergies within three years and positioning the combined entity as a leader in mobile, broadband and video against competitors including global video platforms and satellite providers. Recent developments also include a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services on generative AI initiatives, new business-to-business partnerships for secure auto-connection to the Spectrum Mobile network with Amazon and Nexar, and continued mobile line growth adding 514,000 lines in first-quarter 2025.
