(CIB) operates as a financial holding company that, through subsidiaries including Bancolombia S.A., provides a comprehensive range of banking and financial services; offers checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, time deposits, fixed-term deposits, and investment products; supplies trade financing, working capital loans, personal loans, vehicle loans, payroll loans, overdrafts, credit and debit cards funded by domestic development banks; delivers factoring, financial and operating leasing, hedging instruments including futures, forwards, options, swaps; provides securities brokerage, fund transfers, foreign trade financing, insurance products, and pension fund management; and operates trust services, investment banking, and brokerage divisions. The company serves individuals, businesses, institutions, and government entities primarily in Colombia, with additional operations in Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, United States (Miami), and other Latin American and Caribbean markets. Founded in 1875 and headquartered in Medellin, Colombia, Grupo Cibest completed a major corporate reorganization in May 2025, transitioning from its former name Bancolombia S.A. to establish itself as the nonoperating holding company and ultimate parent for all Grupo Bancolombia subsidiaries and business lines, with ADR conversion following shortly thereafter; in October 2025, it finalized a restructuring of Panamanian operations involving the merger of Sociedad Beneficiaria VB Panamá S.A. into Banistmo S.A. and the spin-off of Valores Banistmo S.A. shares to wholly-owned Cibest Panamá Assets S.A.
