Business
Visionary Copper & Gold Mines Inc. engages in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties rich in copper, gold, zinc, lead, silver and critical metals in Canada. Incorporated in 2011 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, the company advances a portfolio of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits in established mining districts, including the 100%-owned Point Leamington deposit in Newfoundland's Buchans-Robert's Arm belt, a large near-surface pit-constrained resource grading 1.21 g/t AuEq indicated and 3.06 g/t AuEq inferred with gold, copper, zinc, silver and lead; the Pine Bay project near Flin Flon, Manitoba, featuring the Rainbow deposit under permitting; and the Nash Creek project in New Brunswick's Bathurst Mining District, supported by a 2018 preliminary economic assessment showing pre-tax IRR of 34.1% at $1.25 zinc. The company's properties target high-grade VMS systems in infrastructure-rich areas proximate to historic producers like Buchans Mine and Duck Pond, serving electrification, renewable energy and industrial supply chains. In August 2025, the company changed its name from Callinex Mines Inc. to Visionary Copper and Gold Mines Inc. (TSXV: VCG; OTCQX: VCGMF); formed Osawi Gold Corp. to advance its Manitoba gold portfolio; appointed Elder Margaret Head-Steppan of the Miawpukek First Nation as Elder for Visionary and Osawi, establishing a pioneering Indigenous relationship in Canadian exploration; announced plans to expand the Point Leamington deposit; and closed a $3.0 million private placement financing in October 2025 to fund a drilling campaign at Point Leamington, including flow-through shares for critical mineral exploration expenses renounced by December 31, 2025.
