Crystal Valley Financial Corporation (CYVF) operates as the holding company for First State Bank, a community bank providing personal and business banking products and services in northern Indiana. First State Bank offers deposit products including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts; consumer, personal and home equity loans and lines of credit; mortgage products; business loans, term loans, agricultural loans, commercial real estate loans, lines of credit and letters of credit; as well as small business administration loans; trust and wealth management services encompassing investment management, 401(k) rollovers and IRA investments, trustee services for revocable and irrevocable trusts, guardianships, estate settlements, charitable trusts, estate planning assistance and irrevocable life insurance trusts; and additional services such as debit and credit cards, cash management, automated clearing house processing, wire transfers, positive pay, remote deposit capture, online banking, bill payment, account alerts, electronic statements, automated stop payments, CD statement delivery, bounce protection overdraft privilege, check collection and night depository. The bank maintains six offices in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties and targets consumers, agricultural businesses and commercial customers in the region. Founded in 1910 with the establishment of First State Bank and incorporated as the holding company in 1984, Crystal Valley Financial Corporation is headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana. In early 2024, the company executed a balance sheet restructuring that supported net interest income growth of 4.65% and reported consolidated net income of $2.6 million for the first quarter, the second strongest opening quarter in its history.
