Business
The Marzetti Company (Nasdaq: MZTI) manufactures and markets specialty food products for retail and foodservice channels primarily in the United States. The company offers a diverse portfolio through its Retail segment, including Marzetti refrigerated and shelf-stable salad dressings, dips, and croutons; New York Bakery frozen breads and garlic breads; Sister Schubert's homemade frozen rolls; and licensed products such as Olive Garden dressings, Chick-fil-A sauces and dressings, Buffalo Wild Wings sauces, Arby's sauces, Subway sauces, and Texas Roadhouse steak sauces and frozen rolls; while its Foodservice segment provides custom-formulated sauces, salad dressings, frozen breads, yeast rolls, and frozen pastas to major restaurant chains. Founded in 1896 and headquartered in Westerville, Ohio, the company operates manufacturing facilities across multiple states, including Ohio, Kentucky, and California, targeting consumers and foodservice operators with premium, flavor-focused offerings in the packaged foods industry. In June 2025, the company, formerly known as Lancaster Colony Corporation, underwent a rebranding to The Marzetti Company to better align with its core specialty foods focus. Recent developments include the 2025 acquisition of Winland's Atlanta-based sauce and dressing production facility to enhance capacity, a partnership expansion with Buffalo Wild Wings for new hot sauce varieties launched exclusively on Amazon in 2025, and strong first-quarter fiscal 2026 results with record sales driven by retail and foodservice growth.
