Orascom Investment Holding S.A.E. is an Egypt-based investment holding company that engages in the investment, development, and active management of a diversified portfolio spanning telecommunications, digital infrastructure, cultural tourism, entertainment, hospitality, electric mobility, renewable energy, and logistics. Founded in 2011 following the corporate demerger of Orascom Telecom Holding and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, the company operates through direct equity investments, strategic joint ventures, and operating subsidiaries across Egypt, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. The company offers a broad suite of products, specialized services, and operational solutions through dedicated subsidiaries and business units, comprising: mobile cellular telecommunication services, high-speed wireless connectivity, and 3G voice and data transmission provided through CHEO Technology Joint Venture (Koryolink); high-capacity international broadband transmission and optical fiber connectivity delivered via submarine cable systems; cultural tourism destination management, site development, and visitor service operations; heritage multimedia entertainment, including modern Sound and Light productions and open-air event hosting through Orascom Pyramids Entertainment; eco-friendly tourism transit services, including the operation of zero-emission electric shuttle bus fleets; smart electric mobility infrastructure, encompassing light electric vehicle charging networks, automated battery-swapping stations, and commercial fleet management solutions operated by Blu EV; hospitality and food and beverage services, including restaurant management, commercial venue leasing, and catering operations; renewable energy project development and clean utility investments managed by O Capital Energy; and supply chain management, cargo forwarding, and trade logistics provided through OTL for Trade and Logistics Services. In recent developments, Orascom Investment Holding has accelerated its strategic shift toward cultural destination development, hospitality, and clean energy to diversify revenues beyond legacy telecom operations. The company completed a strategic acquisition of Misr for Entertainment Investments Group to expand its footprint in the regional food, beverage, and leisure hospitality sectors. Through subsidiary Orascom Pyramids Entertainment, the firm advanced major operational milestones under its multi-year Giza Plateau concession, including the deployment of upgraded eco-friendly transit infrastructure, revamped Sound and Light entertainment facilities, and the development of specialized commercial and concert venues. In the green mobility sector, the company expanded its Blu EV electric vehicle and battery-swapping network across Egyptian metropolitan hubs. Additionally, the company reinforced its governance and capital structure through the election of a three-year board term led by Executive Chairman Naguib Sawiris and secured a shareholder financing facility to support ongoing operational scaling and strategic investment initiatives.
