EnerSys (NYSE: ENS) manufactures and distributes stored energy solutions for industrial applications worldwide, including motive power batteries and systems for electric industrial forklifts, automated guided vehicles, mining, rail, and airport ground support equipment; reserve power batteries and uninterruptible power systems for telecommunications, data centers, utilities, and broadband; specialty batteries for aerospace, defense, transportation, satellites, submarines, and military applications; and new venture energy storage systems for demand charge reduction, utility backup, and electric vehicle fast charging. The company offers battery chargers, power equipment, accessories, thermally managed cabinets, enclosures, monitoring solutions, and aftermarket services through direct sales, distributors, and representatives in over 100 countries. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, EnerSys operates manufacturing facilities across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, with key brands including Alpha, Bren-Tronics, NexSys, Odyssey, and Rebel. In July 2024, EnerSys completed the acquisition of Bren-Tronics for $208 million in cash to expand its lithium offerings and presence in defense markets. The company previewed the NexSys BESS battery energy storage system and Synova Sync next-generation charger at LogiMAT and ProMat trade shows in early 2025, enhancing energy management for peak shaving, renewables integration, and fleet optimization. In March 2025, EnerSys announced a strategic manufacturing restructuring in Monterrey, Mexico, to improve operational efficiency.
