Business
Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. (FGPRB) is a leading master limited partnership engaged in the retail distribution of propane and related equipment and supplies across the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Founded in 1939 and headquartered in Liberty, Missouri, the company transports propane to distribution locations, customer tanks, and portable tanks; operates portable tank exchange services under the Blue Rhino brand through independent and partnership-owned outlets; and sells refined fuels, propane appliances, parts, fittings, and consumer products while providing common carrier services. It serves diverse customer segments including residential users for space heating, water heating, cooking, and outdoor grills; industrial and commercial clients for manufacturing, drying processes, forklifts, and fleet vehicles; agricultural operations for crop drying, irrigation, and weed control; automotive applications with propane autogas for school buses and lawn mowers; and wholesale markets. Ferrellgas operates through a network of 49 service centers and 802 service units as of mid-2024. Recent developments include the January 2024 acquisition of Eastern Sierra Propane, adding 5,500 customers in California's Eastern Sierra Nevada region; the October 2025 closing of a $650 million 9.250% senior notes offering due 2031 to refinance debt; and a Seventh Amendment to its credit agreement extending maturity to October 2028, raising the revolving facility to $350 million with an accordion feature for up to $50 million more, alongside reporting fiscal 2025 gross profit growth of 4% to over $1.0 billion driven by a 6% increase in core propane margins.
