Federal Screw Works (FSCR) manufactures precision cold-formed and machined industrial component parts primarily for the automotive industry. The company produces cold-formed and machined pins including piston pins, planetary and differential gear shafts, oil pump shafts, and steering shafts; cold-formed machined products such as suspension ball studs, fluid line adapters, and precision valve lifter bodies; close-tolerance machined products for transmission valves, ball joints, steering gear bulkhead assemblies, torque converter hubs, and piston pins; engineered nut products comprising prevailing torque nuts, free-spinning nuts, slotted nuts, nut retainer assemblies, and nut washer assemblies in thread sizes from M8 through M34; cold form tooling including assemblies, sleeves, dies, and punches; and complex cold-formed parts such as tie rod housings, valve lifter bodies, and suspension components. Federal Screw Works operates through divisions in Big Rapids, Romulus, Traverse City, and Novex Tool, serving automotive, refrigeration, small engine, agricultural, and defense sectors principally in the United States. Founded in 1917 and headquartered at 34846 Goddard Road in Romulus, Michigan, the company maintains ongoing investments in state-of-the-art equipment and workforce capabilities to meet customer specifications with value-added operations, with no major acquisitions, partnerships, funding rounds, or strategic shifts reported in the last two years.
