Business
Westhaven Gold Corp. engages in the acquisition, exploration, development and evaluation of precious metal resource properties in Canada, primarily targeting low sulphidation, high-grade epithermal gold and silver mineralization within the Spences Bridge Gold Belt in southern British Columbia. The company holds a 100% interest in approximately 61,512 hectares across four gold properties, including its flagship Shovelnose project covering 41,634 hectares that hosts the South Zone, FMN and Franz gold deposits and features a March 2025 Preliminary Economic Assessment outlining an 11-year underground mining operation with average annual production of 56,000 ounces of gold, CAD$454 million after-tax NPV at a 6% discount rate and 43.2% IRR based on US$2,400 per ounce gold. Additional projects include further underexplored assets along the belt; operations focus on junior mining customers and investors in the metals and mining sector with drilling programs exceeding 186,000 metres since 2011. Founded in 1998 and headquartered at 1056-409 Granville Street in Vancouver, British Columbia, the company trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker WHN.V. Recent developments include a September 2024 strategic investment commitment of C$1.5 million from Rob McEwen via Evanachan Ltd. as part of a C$5 million brokered offering, TSX Venture approval in September 2024 for a claim package acquisition from Talisker Resources, completion of an upsized 2025 summer drilling program totaling 6,202 metres in 13 holes that validated new exploration models with structural offsets and silicification beyond known deposits, and an October 2025 corporate update announcing the departure of VP Corporate Development Sean Thompson.
