- Rába Automotive Group Nyrt. (Rába Járműipari Holding Nyrt.) is a Hungary-based engineering and manufacturing holding company that specializes in the development and production of heavy-duty running gear, automotive parts, commercial vehicle structures, and power transmission systems. Founded in 1896 and headquartered in Győr, Hungary, the company organizes its operations across four primary business segments: the Axle Segment, the Automotive Components Segment, the Vehicles Segment, and the Gear Units Segment. The group's product and service portfolio comprises complete driven, steered, and non-driven front and rear axles for medium and heavy commercial trucks, buses, trolleybuses, and agricultural machinery; heavy-duty independent wheel suspensions, portal axles, and integrated axle assemblies for military, defense, and specialized multi-axle vehicles; axle housings, differential carriers, wheel hubs, and brake disc assemblies; stamped, pressed, and robotic-welded structural components for vehicle chassis; automotive seat frames, seating structures, and sewn upholstery covers for passenger cars and commercial vehicles; precision-machined mechanical parts, including steering arms, ball pivots, brake pulleys, and universal joints; complete military and special-purpose truck chassis, vehicle undercarriages, and customized welded subassemblies; industrial gear drives, speed reduction units, and agricultural transmission components; and contract engineering services, including computer-aided design, rapid prototyping, metallurgical testing, and high-volume series manufacturing for original equipment manufacturers across the European Union, North America, and Asia. In recent strategic corporate developments, Hungarian technology and defense corporation 4iG Nyrt. acquired a controlling 74.34% equity stake in Rába, integrating the company into its defense division to establish its Győr operations as a central manufacturing and development hub for military and tactical land vehicles. In conjunction with this integration, a strategic defense alliance was executed with Czech conglomerate Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which acquired an indirect minority holding in Rába to facilitate the localized assembly, production, distribution, and lifecycle servicing of Tatra tactical military vehicle platforms and modular truck chassis at Rába's manufacturing facilities.
