Business
GreenPower Motor Company Inc. (NASDAQ: GP) designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes purpose-built, all-electric medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles including transit buses, school buses, shuttles, cargo vans and cab-and-chassis platforms; core products encompass the EV Star family featuring the EV Star Cab & Chassis for mid- and last-mile delivery with refrigerated and passenger van configurations, the EV Star Passenger Van and Mobility Plus for shuttle, micro-transit, vanpool and paratransit applications with up to 19 passengers and ADA compliance, the BEAST Class 8 Type-D school bus with monocoque truss chassis, 150-mile range, air ride suspension and capacity for 90 students, the Nano BEAST Type-A school bus, and legacy models such as the high-floor EV350 40-foot transit bus and low-floor EV250 30-foot transit bus. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, with sales and administration in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and assembly operations in Porterville, California, the company serves cargo/delivery, shuttle/transit and school bus sectors primarily in the United States and Canada through a clean-sheet electric vehicle design integrating proprietary battery management, flex power systems, SAE J1772 charging, DC fast charging and wireless charging options on EV Star models. Recent developments include a November 2025 financing facility of up to $18 million in Series A Convertible Preferred Shares to accelerate production and convert over $50 million in Nano BEAST and BEAST school bus orders with pre-built chassis exceeding 130 units for improved cash flow and margins; retention of $6.8 million in EV Star Cab & Chassis deposits recognized as revenue in Q4 2025 to strengthen the balance sheet and repurpose units for Nano BEAST production; eligibility of EV Star lineup for New Jersey's reopened $37.5 million Zero-Emission Incentive Program; and a 10-for-1 share consolidation effective August 2025 alongside a New Mexico all-electric school bus pilot contract.
