Global Ship Lease, Inc. (NYSE: GSL; GSL-PB) owns and charters mid-sized and smaller containerships to leading container shipping companies worldwide under fixed-rate, long-term time charters; its fleet of 69 vessels as of September 30, 2025, ranges from feeder vessels of approximately 2,200 TEU to post-Panamax ships up to 11,040 TEU, with an aggregate capacity exceeding 400,000 TEU and a TEU-weighted average age of 18.0 years, including 39 wide-beam post-Panamax ships emphasizing high-reefer capacity, fuel efficiency and operational flexibility for non-mainlane, intra-regional and faster-growing trades representing over 70% of global containerized volumes. Incorporated in the Marshall Islands in 2007 with administrative headquarters in Athens, Greece at 9 Irodou Attikou Street, Kifisia, the company serves top-tier liner operators such as Maersk on transpacific, Asia-Europe, transatlantic and intra-regional routes while committing to net zero emissions by 2050 as a member of the Getting to Zero Coalition. Recent strategic expansions include the December 2024 agreement to acquire four high-reefer ECO-9,115 TEU containerships for $274 million on multi-year charters with a leading liner operator and 10-year financing at SOFR + 2.50%, expanding the fleet to 72 vessels with 413,183 TEU capacity; additionally, in December 2025, it announced the acquisition of three 8,600 TEU containerships for approximately $90 million on attached charters through mid-2030, growing the fleet to 71-72 vessels with over 422,000 TEU upon delivery around year-end 2025, reflecting disciplined fleet renewal through sales of older assets and selective purchases at compelling valuations.
