Business
Hallmark Financial Services, Inc. Hallmark Financial Services, Inc. (HALL) is a specialty property and casualty insurance holding company that underwrites, markets, distributes, and services commercial and personal lines insurance products to businesses and individuals across the United States. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the company operates through three primary segments: Commercial Lines, which offers general liability, commercial automobile, commercial property, umbrella, commercial multi-peril, business owners, aircraft, and aircraft liability insurance; Personal Lines, providing non-standard personal automobile and renters insurance; and Runoff, managing senior care facilities liability insurance. Its products target niche markets including contractors, manufacturing, professional services, automobile services, hospitality, retail, distributors, business services, restaurants, and real estate, distributed via independent general agents, retail agents, and specialty brokers. In July 2025, Bishop Street Underwriters acquired Aerospace Insurance Managers from Hallmark Financial, marking the company's exit from the general aviation insurance market and enabling a sharper focus on core commercial and personal lines operations. Previously, Hallmark divested its excess and surplus lines business to Core Specialty Insurance Holdings in 2022 for approximately $59.9 million and sold Standard Alliance Insurance Company in 2018 to streamline its portfolio, while introducing a new branding strategy and corporate website in June 2023.
