Business
Apetit Oyj manufactures and markets plant-based food products, frozen vegetables, ready meals and vegetable oils; it operates through Food Solutions and Oilseed Products segments, producing high-quality frozen vegetable mixes, patties, balls, soups, pizzas, gratins, burgers, nuggets, fish-based ready foods and private label products at facilities in Säkylä and Pudasjärvi, Finland, alongside refining rapeseed oils, expellers and trading grains, oilseeds and feedstuffs. The company serves consumers, retailers, professional kitchens, food industry and animal feed sectors primarily in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Baltic region. Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Säkylä, Finland, Apetit sources vegetables from 130 contract growers using responsible farming methods and emphasizes sustainable primary production. In October 2025, Apetit acquires Swedish frozen pea producer Foodhills AB to strengthen its Swedish market position, boost frozen pea volumes to over 10% of Europe's total and diversify cultivation risks; it launches the Vegan Burger Patty with BlackGrain textured vegetable protein in September 2025 and invests in expanding Kantvik vegetable oil milling operations in July 2025.
