Highwoods Properties, Inc. is a fully integrated office real estate investment trust that owns, develops, acquires, leases and manages high-quality Class A office properties and mixed-use developments primarily in the best business districts of Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Nashville, Orlando, Raleigh, Richmond and Tampa. The company provides leasing of premium office space featuring modern amenities, sustainable LEED-certified buildings and flexible floor plans to corporations, professional service firms, government agencies and other tenants; property development including build-to-suit and speculative projects with state-of-the-art design; and comprehensive property management services encompassing maintenance, tenant relations and operational efficiency. Highwoods Realty Limited Partnership serves as its operating partnership subsidiary. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, the company operates across dynamic Sun Belt markets in the southern United States with a portfolio of approximately 28 million square feet at around 90% occupancy. In 2025, Highwoods completed the $223 million acquisition of the 411,000-square-foot 6Hundred at Legacy Union Class AA office tower in Charlotte's Uptown CBD, which is 84% leased with long-term leases averaging over 12 years; acquired the 346,000-square-foot, 100% leased Advance Auto Parts Tower in Raleigh's North Hills adjacent to its existing CAPTRUST Tower; and sold $37 million in non-core assets to fund portfolio optimization on a leverage-neutral basis.
