Business
Courage Investment Group Limited is an investment holding company principally engaged in marine transportation, investment holding, property holding and investment, and merchandise trading. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, with its registered office in Hamilton, Bermuda, the company operates primarily in Asia, including Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, and other regional markets; it owns and operates a fleet of three dry bulk Supramax vessels with an aggregate deadweight tonnage of approximately 171,000 dwt for chartering services transporting bulk commodities such as cement, wood chips, coal, iron ore, and minerals; it provides vessel chartering and management services; it trades merchandise including electronic components; it holds and invests in properties; and it invests in corporate bonds and equity securities while offering management services. In 2024, the company disposed of its dry bulk Supramax vessel Zorina for US$13,800,000 and completed the acquisition of the entire issued share capital and shareholder's loan of a company holding rights to a second-hand dry bulk Supramax vessel Diva for a maximum consideration of US$15,450,100, with the vessel acquisition finalized on December 27; it reported revenue of US$9,183,000, up 8% from 2023, driven by higher marine transportation earnings amid improved dry bulk market conditions influenced by global economic recovery, constrained vessel supply, and the Red Sea Crisis; it fully repaid all borrowings, reducing finance costs by 89% and achieving a zero gearing ratio; and in early 2025, significant board changes occurred including the appointment of Ms. Liu Sainan as Chairlady, Mr. Wu Ying Ha as Chief Executive Officer, new independent non-executive directors, and resignations of prior executives and directors, with China Mark Limited, wholly-owned by Ms. Liu Sainan, becoming the ultimate holding company.
