Business
China Infrastructure & Logistics Group Ltd. (1719.HK) is an investment holding company principally engaged in the development, operation, and management of container terminals and ports along the Yangtze River in the People's Republic of China, together with related logistics and supply chain services. The company operates through four main segments: Property Business, which provides port and warehouse leasing; Terminal & Related Business, offering terminal services, container handling, storage, general cargo handling, and bulk cargo handling; Integrated Logistics Business, delivering freight forwarding, customs clearance, container transportation, agency services, and logistics management; and Supply Chain Management and Trading Business, encompassing sourcing, procurement, commodity trading, supply chain consultation, and port construction services. It serves industrial customers in sectors such as automobiles, petrochemicals, steel, grain, and construction materials, with primary operations in Hubei Province, including the WIT Port, Multi-Purpose Port, and Hannan Port in Wuhan, and targets markets in central China radiating to provinces like Hunan, Sichuan, and Shaanxi, as well as international routes to Japan, South Korea, Russia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and ASEAN countries. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Central, Hong Kong, the company, incorporated in the Cayman Islands, functions as a subsidiary of Hubei Port Group Co., Ltd., with its immediate holding company being Hubei Port (Hong Kong) International Limited. In recent developments, the company completed the integration of phase I, II, and III terminals at Yangluo Port (WIT Port) following Hubei Port Group's acquisition of control in January 2022, optimizing logistics resources and enhancing port synergies. During the first half of 2025, it expanded business lines by launching CKD parts export services for XPeng Inc., completing 300 TEUs by June; partnering with Shanghai Zhuyunshang International Logistics Co., Ltd. for customs clearance, bonded warehousing, and distribution of imported pulp, targeting an additional 500 TEUs monthly; developing international breakbulk business with GEM, achieving 17 inbound voyages (88,400 tonnes) and 15 outbound voyages (130,100 cubic meters); and handling new bulk cargo projects including Daming steel coils, Shandong corn starch, potassium fertilizer, and raw sugar to boost handling revenues. In November 2024, the WIT Port initiated the first international breakbulk liner service in the Yangtze River's middle reaches to Indonesia's Labota Port, strengthening trade links and industrial distribution; additionally, in June 2024, it divested its 60% stake in Zhongxiang City Port Co. to Hubei Port Group Hanjiang Co., Ltd. for RMB69.58 million, recording a gain on disposal. These initiatives reflect strategic shifts toward bulk-to-container conversions, green intelligent port development, rail-water intermodal expansion, and new direct shipping routes to drive container volume and revenue growth amid challenging foreign trade conditions.
